Latifa Al-Mohdar
Latifa is an Associate at Expedition. Her responsibilities include thematic research, origination and analysis of new investments.
Prior to joining Expedition, Latifa was part of the Strategy and M&A team at SaltPay, a B2B payments and software provider. She began her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she spent three years in the investment banking division.
Latifa is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and now lives in London, England. She is a graduate of Smith College, where she studied Economics.
Outside of work, Latifa enjoys practicing yoga and pilates, reading about the Middle East (particularly Yemen where she has roots), and is an alumnae representative of Girls Who Invest.
Aaron Blakeman
Aaron is the Head of Talent Acquisition with a proven track record in scaling businesses. He brings with him a wealth of experience from his time at a private equity-backed Fintech SaaS company, where he played a pivotal role in growing the business from 100 to over 500 people. His journey with the company, from pre-acquisition to the point of sale, has equipped him with a deep understanding of the dynamics of rapidly expanding businesses.
Prior to this, Aaron was instrumental in opening and developing offices in the UK and other areas of Scandinavia for a Nordic Engineering and software consultancy.
Outside of work, Aaron is a sports enthusiast with a passion for basketball and volleyball and has recently taken up Padel. He is also a supporter of Arsenal and enjoys traveling and expanding his cooking repertoire. He resides on the south coast in Brighton with his young family.
Jenny Calbraith
Jenny is the Office Manager for Expedition. She enjoys being the “go-to” person and creates a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. She’s bringing her organisational skills to Expedition to ensure the smooth running of the office and HR needs.
Jenny has joined us from a small NHS Charity and has seven years’ worth of administrative experience including Office Management, Human Resources, and Project Management.
Outside of work Jenny enjoys travelling, cycling and aims to find the best sandwich in London.
Sourour Chtatou
Sourour is an Associate at Expedition. Her responsibilities include thematic research, origination and analysis of new investments.
Prior to joining Expedition, Sourour spent two years at Barclays within the investment banking division and previously gained experience in a SaaS start-up at Station F in Paris.
Originally from Morocco, Sourour now calls London home. She studied at EDHEC Business School, where she graduated with a master’s in business management.
Outside of work, Sourour finds balance by practicing yoga and indulging her adventurous side through climbing, surfing and hiking.
Tom Denford
Tom is a Vice President at Expedition Growth Capital. Tom serves as a board director at Dougs, and as a board observer at Xensam, Kentico, Batch and Omilia.
Prior to Expedition Tom was part of the investment team at Grafton Capital. Tom lives in London, England. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics, where he studied Economic History.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys running and practicing his (rusty) French.
Sebastien Jacquemoud
Sebastien is a Portfolio Operations Director at Expedition Operations Group, the operating arm of Expedition. Before Expedition, Sebastien spent two years as a member of the Value Add team at Vitruvian Partners (a leading technology investor).
Prior to this, Sebastien held hands-on operational roles at PE-backed software companies where he ran a portfolio of value creation initiatives focusing on GTM, pricing, and related areas.
Sebastien started his career as a consultant for Oliver Wyman and The Boston Consulting Group.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD, an Mphil in Economics from Cambridge University and a MA in Economics – Econometrics from the University of Geneva.
Outside of work, Seb enjoys travelling, playing a wide range of sports, socialising and spending time with his two children and his wife.
Shuli Levy
Shuli joined Expedition in 2021 and is responsible for finance and operations. She leads Expedition’s engagement with portfolio company finance teams and manages investor reporting.
Shuli brings more than 20 years of professional experience to her role at Expedition, and was previously Head of Operations at Electra Private Equity PLC, where she was part of a team that returned more than £2bn of capital to investors during her tenure.
Shuli began her career with 14 years at PwC, first as an auditor, then after qualifying as a chartered accountant, specialising in corporate taxes and transparency. She holds a BSc in Business, Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England and Wales.
Shuli loves London’s vibrant theatre scene and getting outdoors with her family and friends. She is a trustee of Allia – a charity which helps small businesses achieve their impact aims.
Alex Myers
Alex is the Portfolio Performance Director at Expedition alongside his role as a founder and Co-CEO of Upliift.
Prior to Expedition, Alex spent six years as a member of executive teams leading organic and inorganic strategy, product, and transformation at various $50m-$2bn EV European B2B software/software-enabled services companies backed by HG, Apax, KKR, and EQT.
Recent experience includes co-leading pre-and-post acquisition operational planning and execution for Exact Software and building out the product function at capital markets data leader, RIMES.
Before this Alex was at McKinsey and Company where he focused on working with Private Equity firms on strategy and strategy implementation projects for their portfolio companies. He studied at INSEAD MBA school and Oxford University, where he graduated with an MPhysPhil in Physics and Philosophy.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys cycling and sailing along with spending time with his wife and two young children.
Imogen Moore
Imogen is VP of investor relations, responsible for supporting the firm’s relationships with current and prospective investors.
Prior to joining Expedition Growth Capital, Imogen spent three years at placement agent Rede Partners where she was involved in a number of primary fundraises across the European mid and lower-mid market. Imogen spent the first five years of her career at Credit Suisse, where she worked in the TMT investment banking team across equity, debt, and M&A transactions.
Imogen holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. In her free time, Imogen loves spending time outdoors in many ways, whether it’s trail running, sailing, or skiing.
Kgala Nazo
As VP of finance and reporting, Kgala works with the Expedition team, our companies and our network of advisors on the fund and group entities.
In addition to managing company’s finances, Kgala works with the investment team to report on investment performance.
Originally from South Africa, Kgala is a Chartered Accountant with more than 13 years of experience, with a background in external audit and development finance. She is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an accounting degree from the University of Cape Town. She has a particular interest in and experience working with high growth companies.
Kgala lives with family in London. She enjoys travelling, taking walks to discover any hidden gems that travel destinations may hold, and working on her yoga practice.
Joshua Newman
Josh is the Head of Data and Research at Expedition Growth Capital. His role involves building and maintaining our data platform and automation workflows, researching emerging areas of software, and leveraging data for strategic decision-making within the firm and our portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Expedition, Josh was a postdoctoral research scientist at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, where he conducted research into self-propagating proteins using a transparent, microscopic worm species as a model for neurodegenerative disease. Before this, he earned a PhD in molecular neurobiology from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Cells and Systems Biology from the University of Oxford, majoring in neuroscience and minoring in immunology.
Outside of work, Josh is an amateur lepidopterist and a keen creative writer.
David Olsson
David is a Principal at Expedition Growth Capital. His responsibilities include sourcing, executing and managing investments. David currently serves on the boards of Ringover, Lempire, Storykit, Pinpoint and Factbird.
Prior to Expedition, David began his career at Amazon in business development and strategy, and subsequently spent 3 years working on strategy and commercial diligence engagements at Kaiser Associates, followed by software growth investing at Grafton Capital.
David is originally from Malmo, Sweden, and now lives in London, England. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics, where he studied Economics and Economic History.
In his spare time, David enjoys football, both playing and (frustratedly) watching Manchester United, running, skiing, traveling, as well as trying to push his cooking skills to a slightly less amateurish level.
Maria Percuklievska
Maria is an Associate at Expedition. Her responsibilities include thematic research, origination and analysis of new investments.
Prior to joining Expedition, Maria spent three years in the Strategy and M&A team at Avast, a cyber security software company which grew from bootstrapped roots in Prague to become one of Europe’s largest software companies.
Maria began her career at J.P. Morgan, where she spent two years in the investment banking division.
Maria graduated from the University of Warwick, where she studied International Management. She spent an additional year at Cornell University.
Maria likes to travel and can be found practicing her surfing and diving skills while abroad. In London, she is pursuing her private pilot’s license and enjoys walks in the park with her dog.
Harry Rintoul
Harry is the VP of Portfolio Operations at Expedition Growth Capital where he works with our Portfolio Companies on value creation initiatives to support their growth ambitions.
Prior to Expedition, Harry spent 4 years at Xplor Technologies, a portfolio company of Advent International, in a variety of roles in their US & European businesses including Strategy and M&A, as Chief of Staff, and most recently as the Operations Lead for one of Xplor’s Software Divisions where he was responsible for building the Customer Success, Onboarding, Support and Services functions.
Harry started his career as a consultant at Monitor Deloitte where he worked across a number of industries on corporate strategy and operations transformation engagements. He holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bristol.
Outside of work, Harry is happiest when travelling or in the mountains, whether skiing in the winter or hiking and climbing in the summer.
Nishma Sanghvi
Nishma joined Expedition as a Finance Manager in June 2022. Her responsibilities include managing the administration of the fund entities and working with the investment team on portfolio valuation.
Nishma has 16 years of professional experience across accounting, private client taxation, corporate and fiduciary services and compliance.
Prior to joining Expedition, Nishma held managerial roles at Vistra (UK) and Maples Fiduciary Services (UAE) where she was responsible for portfolios of corporate and private clients involving company secretarial services, non-executive directorships and administration.
Nishma is originally from Nairobi, Kenya and moved to London in 2001. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from The Nottingham Trent University and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
Outside of work, Nishma enjoys working on art and craft projects, travelling, cooking and spending time with her family.
Kate Sarvina
As Account and Secretarial Assistant, Kate works with the Operations Team to ensure our office runs smoothly and creates a welcoming environment for guests.
Previously, Kate supervised a team for a Mayfair property management company; co-ordinating office activities and training the staff to provide customer service excellence.
Originally from Estonia, Kate holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in law from the University of Portsmouth. Before this she graduated from the School of Arts in Tallinn and still enjoys watercolour painting and landscape art, as well as powerlifting!
Manoj Selhi
Manoj joined Expedition’s Finance and Operations Team in September 2023. His responsibilities include managing the financial accounting & reporting and compliance requirements of the non-fund entities at Expedition.
Prior to joining Expedition, Manoj had spent nearly five years working at a leading EIS venture capital fund based in London. Manoj is a CIMA qualified accountant and studied Mathematics at King’s College London.
Outside of work, Manoj enjoys travelling and is a Manchester United fan.
Will Sheldon
Will is a Partner at Expedition. His responsibilities include leading investments and developing Expedition’s strategy and team. Will serves on the boards of epilot, Factbird and Rentman.
Prior to Expedition Will has over 10 years of software investment experience, most recently at Accel and previously at Summit Partners.
Will’s investment experience includes Calypso Technology (acquired by Thoma Bravo), Cyera, Darktrace (IPO), Databand (acquired by IBM), Genesis Global, Immersive Labs, Insify, Melio, Siteimprove (acquired by Nordic Capital) and Syncron, among others.
Will is originally from the UK and is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where he studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
Oliver Thomas
Oliver is responsible for investment strategy and portfolio development. He formed Expedition in 2020, raising a software specialist growth equity fund with the backing of some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs, investors and charitable endowments.
Oliver began his growth equity career as a senior investment professional at Summit Partners, where he spent six years in the firm’s London office. He subsequently joined HgCapital as a founding member of the Mercury Fund. He currently serves with his Expedition colleagues on the boards of Ringover, Lempire, Omilia, Batch, and Oktopost.
In 2014 Oliver co-founded Grafton Capital, where he led over €100m of investments, five of which have been realised to date, including the sale of Softomotive to Microsoft in May 2020; and the sale of BOARD International to Nordic Capital in February 2019.
Oliver is originally from Wales and now lives with his wife and three daughters in Winchester. Given the chance, he also enjoys skiing or watching Wales play rugby. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford, where he studied Economics & Management, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Steve Twomey
Steve is a Partner at Expedition Growth Capital and heads up the firm’s Boston office. His responsibilities include leading investments, supporting portfolio companies’ transatlantic growth objectives, and developing Expedition’s strategy and team. Steve serves on the boards of Kontent.ai and Oktopost.
Prior to Expedition, Steve spent 12 years at Summit Partners in the firm’s Boston office on the technology growth equity investment team. While at Summit Partners, his investment experience included A Cloud Guru (acquired by Pluralsight), Allego, Clarabridge (acquired by Qualtrics), Highwire, MacStadium, NetBrain Technologies and Vestmark, among others. Previously, Steve worked on the technology investment banking team at Raymond James.
Steve lives outside of Boston with his wife and two sons. He holds a BS in management and economics, magna cum laude, from Boston College.
Pietro Ferrari
Pietro is the former Chief Technology Officer at Board International where he started his career, and he was part of the founding team who built the company from inception to global leader.
Pietro brings more than 20 years of software experience as technologist. As CTO, he was responsible for the product strategy, product development and operations. He has built the R&D and the Product Management teams, developing and promoting a culture of innovation and execution.
Over the course of his tenure, Pietro led the team through major technology transitions such as the advent of in-memory computing, the shift to the Cloud and SaaS model. He was also part of the leadership team that developed and executed the growth strategy and value creation plan.
Pietro is originally from Milan, now enjoys living in Como with his wife, two kids and infinite equipment for all water sports that he has no time to practice.
Udi Ledergor
Udi is a five-time marketing leader at B2B start-ups and currently the Chief Evangelist at Gong.
As Chief Evangelist, Udi oversees Gong’s market leadership through new product launches and thought leadership. On his journey from Marketer #1 to Gong’s Chief Marketing Officer, he led the creation of the revenue intelligence category, pioneered an iconic, human-centric brand, and led Gong’s marketing efforts from zero to hundreds of millions in revenue.
Passionate about startups and brands during the day, whisky, music, and social activism at night, Udi is also an author, speaker, mentor, angel investor, board director, and advisor based in San Francisco.
Ijoma Maluza
Ijoma is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of experience in finance including as CFO of listed and private equity-owned companies in the Technology and Software industries.
Ijoma was CFO of Blue Prism plc, a software company listed on the London Stock Exchange, before its $1.6bn sale to SS&C Inc in 2022. Prior to Blue Prism, he was CFO of IP.Access, a private equity-owned hardware and software developer of small cells radio solutions.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Ijoma worked in Investment Banking in the TMT team at Rothschild & Co. before moving to Xchanging, a FTSE 250 company, where he became Corporate Development and Corporate Strategy Director leading all M&A activities.
Ijoma is currently interim CFO of WANdisco, a software company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Ijoma is originally from Malawi and now lives in North London with his wife and three children. He enjoys watching and, given the chance, playing football. He is a graduate of Cambridge University where he read Economics.
Marilyn Miller
Marilyn has over 25 years of experience as a global HR leader, primarily in the technology sector, including companies such as Cisco Systems, BMC Software, Anaplan. She is currently the Chief People Officer with Netskope, a data security company.
Marilyn’s passion is to help organisations create talent strategies that scale their businesses, drive operational excellence and deliver strong financial results. She is recognized for her ability to context a people strategy for each stage of an organisation’s growth, including her experience with companies already at scale as well as helping to lead earlier stage companies through an IPO process and beyond.
Marilyn also uniquely understands the importance of being intentional about how companies create and evolve their cultures to drive the employee experience that is a necessary ingredient to attract and retain top talent at each stage of growth.
Marilyn grew up in Iowa on a century family farm. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in political science from the University of Iowa. Marilyn now lives in Washington State, where she loves to garden on the weekends as well as spend time with her horses. She also has a passion for traveling, cooking, and reading.
Jeetu Mahtani
Jeetu is a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years of experience, including 14 years at HubSpot, where he served as EVP of Customer Success and SVP of International Sales.
At HubSpot, Jeetu led the transformation of a 1,500-member Customer Success team, driving the activation, retention, and expansion of over 200,000 customers. He also spearheaded the international expansion, scaling revenue to over $600M ARR across EMEA, JAPAC, and LatAm.
Before HubSpot, Jeetu served as Head of Sales at Wakefly, a leading CMS and online marketing agency, where he was responsible for sales and customer success. Prior to that, he co-founded WhizSpark, a SaaS company focused on event registration and promotion, where he oversaw all of product and engineering. Earlier in his career, he spent 5 years working for Saint-Gobain, where he led SAP CRM, Portals, and ERP project management and implementations.
Jeetu holds an MS in Operations and Information Technology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a BS in Computer Science from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Based in Greater Boston, he is recognized for his strategic leadership in sales, customer success, international business expansion, GTM strategy, and technology development.
