Lance Olmsted Joins Expedition Growth Capital as Operating Advisor

LONDON, United Kingdom, and BOSTON, Massachusetts, 14 October 2025 – Expedition Growth Capital (“Expedition”) is pleased to announce that Lance Olmsted, Chief Revenue Officer at IFS M&A, and President and CEO at Copperleaf, has joined the firm as an Operating Advisor.

At IFS, Lance is responsible for driving growth through strategic acquisitions, integration, and designing go-to-market strategies that maximize revenue from acquired companies. He played a key leadership role in IFS’s $1 billion acquisition of Copperleaf Technologies in 2024, serving as President and CEO of Copperleaf post-acquisition to drive GTM integration and realize revenue synergies.

Prior to IFS, Lance spent almost 10 years at Redzone, a bootstrapped manufacturing software provider, where he rose to SVP of Enterprise Sales and Head of EMEA. In that role, he drove international expansion and played a key part in scaling the business from its first customer to a ~$1B+ strategic exit to QAD. He also served as CEO of MEMCO, a manufacturing technology firm, and held advisory and board roles with growth-stage industrial software companies.

Lance began his career in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for eight years. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, and an Executive Certificate in Leadership, Business Administration, Management and Operations from University of Notre Dame.

As an Operating Advisor at Expedition, Lance will support portfolio companies on M&A growth, enterprise sales, and international expansion. Lance is already working actively with several Expedition portfolio companies at the board level, including Factbird, a manufacturing intelligence software platform.
